Friends of the Central Sands was formed as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit Wisconsin based organization.  Our focus promoted a healthy Central Sands landscape through natural  resource stewardship, community involvement, scientific knowledge and  advocacy.  We fought hard to protect the water in the Central Sands, ultimately prevailing in the courts in late 2014.  With overwhelming support of citizens we are proud of the work we did.  While there is more to do our work was done.  FOCS was disbanded allowing our team to engage in an support other valuable organizations.
